Guided randomization is a great way to get inspired, whether it is randomizing a pattern, entire pattern chains or even synthesizer patches. Your Woovebox comes with a number of tools to quickly come up with something unique, yet coherent as the basis for further shaping and refining.
You can configure your song's random events to be either 100% unpredictable on every playback (7/hh/'SEEd' on the Song's GLob page set to 'off') or replicable between playbacks (7/hh/'SEEd' set to a non-0 value).
When using a random seed, random events that occur within a track repeat themselves every time you play your song; each number you choose for 7/hh/'SEEd', represents a different sequence of random (but fixed) events. Random events depend on each other sequentially. This means that, as long as these events happen in the same order (i.e. you don't change what is randomized when), they will occur and play exactly the same way every time you play through your song. This "fixed" sequence will be different/random for every random number you choose for 7/hh/'SEEd'.
Going one step further, if your song uses a random seed (7/hh/'SEEd' set to a non-0 value), you may even specify "sub-seeds" (called "takes") when programming your song fragments. This ensures that you can, for example, reliably replicate the same random sequence of events for different parts of your song across different tracks (see song mode documentation). Use cases include trying out replicable humanized performances and note triggers, or trying out replicable (but random) DNA sequences for your songs.
