Text to speech

Your content can be read out loud by text-to-speech functionality.

Text-to-speech can be a great help for visually impaired members of your audience. It is also very useful for proof-reading your content, as well as for situations where your audience requires their eyes to be elsewhere (e.g. operating a vehicle).

There are four ways to access the text-to-speech functionality.

  • From within the footprint section in your FMS, under PDF, click on get started and choose listen to website. This will read out your website's homepage.
  • On any page of your website, click the button in the bottom right corner and choose Text-to-speech.
  • For any page of your website, add '?tts' to the URL in the URL bar to trigger text-to-speech upon load.
  • For every content or buzz item in the FMS, click on the dropdown button next to the preview button and choose text-to-speech.

As with all footprint features that use text-to-speech, you can fine-tune pronunciations under settings > language > phonetics.
